PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obviate the occurrence of flickering of a screen and to enhance the quality of images by an improvement in resolution when the images are utilized with a display exclusive of a television monitor. SOLUTION: The electronic endoscope device which forms signals for interlace scanning for displaying the signals on a television monitor from the video signals obtained by a CCD 13, i.e., odd and even field signals is provided with a resolution conversion circuit 29. In this resolution conversion circuit 29, the above described field signals stored in, for example, a memory, are read out by twice clock signals and are written as frame signals for non-interlace scanning in a frame memory and thereafter, the same horizontal line data are read out twice each by quadruple clock signals. As a result, the images densely arranged with 970 pieces of horizontal lines in a vertical scanning period of 16.7 ms may be obtained.
