PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device that can form an image with maximized image quality under an environment of the device by converting read image data into recording image data based on a selected conversion table and recording the converted data. SOLUTION: Since the reproducibility of a color and a density differ from the kind of a cartridge, the image forming device has a conversion table in response to the density designated in the case of reading. The table shows a list of conversion tables, which are selected depending on the type of the cartridge loaded to a recording section and on an operating state. A ROM stores the conversion table, and table data being an object are properly selected utilized. For example, when the operating state indicates color transmission and color scanning, the conversion table selects 'color' independently of the loading state of the cartridge and the read density. Furthermore, when the operating state indicates gray scale transmission and gray scale scanning, the conversion table selects 'gray' independently of the loading state of the cartridge and the read density. |
