PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an electronic component mounting method for eliminating pickup mistakes by judging whether it is possible to pick up the chips of a part feeder simultaneously with a plurality of nozzles of a transfer head in advance when picking up the chip of the part feeder simultaneously with the plurality of nozzles of the transfer head. SOLUTION: The nozzle position data of a first nozzle 9a, a second nozzle 9b, and a third nozzle 9c are obtained by a first camera in advance, the data of the pickup position of chips A, B, and C of part feeders 4A, 4B, and 4C are obtained by a second camera, and a tolerance K for picking up the chips A, B, and C is set. First, the first nozzle 9a is selected as a reference nozzle and is aligned to a pickup position PA of the part feeder 4A, thus judging whether the second and third nozzles 9b and 9c are within the tolerance K or not. If they are within the tolerance, chips are picked up simultaneously. If they are not within the tolerance even if any nozzles are selected as a reference nozzle, dispersion pickup is made. |
