An on-board receiver for no-interruption stable communication even if the reception frequency varies because of the Doppler effect in a vehicle-to-roadside communication system for communication between roadside communication stations installed in a cell and an on-board mobile station in the cell. [Means for solving the problems] A transmission antenna (36a) having a directivity toward the direction in which a vehicle travels and a transmission antenna (36b) having a directivity toward the opposite direction to the direction in which the vehicle travels are installed. An offset for increasing the frequency is given to the radio wave radiated from the antenna (36a), while an offset for decreasing the frequency is given to the radio wave radiated from the antenna (36b). The variation of the reception frequency received by an on-board receiver due to Doppler shift is reduced, the automatic frequency control (AFC) is facilitated, and the degradation of the quality of the demodulated data is mitigated.
|
