The invention relates to engineering for the power industry, more particularly to the generation of mechanical, electrical and thermal power, whereby a heat engine, preferably a gas turbine engine, is disclosed. According to the invention, different types of interdependence between output power, air consumption and exhaust temperature through various engine speeds can be obtained by creating a cinematically autonomous unit which consists of a compressor or a low pressure compressor (if the air is compressed in several sequential compressors), in addition to a turbine driving such a compressor. The turbine driving the compressor (or the low pressure compressor) is arranged in a separate gas pipe, parallel to the turbine of the power consumer drive, so that the degree of pressure drop in the compressor driven thereby can be modified proportionally.
