BACKLIGHT OF ACTIVE EMISSION LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

摘要

PURPOSE: A backlight of an active emission type liquid crystal display is provided to employ a filter layer for sufficiently utilizing light having wavelength of 380-420nm areas and blocking green peak light of 545nm area, thereby realizing the display with high luminance screen quality of which color purity. CONSTITUTION: A backlight(2) of an active emission type liquid crystal display includes a lamp glass formed with a filter layer coated with a dye or paint for transmitting light of which wavelength is in the range of 380-240nm, wherein the light radiated from the backlight passes through a liquid crystal layer(6) via a polarization element(4) to be switched by the orientation of the liquid crystal layer and radiated to a desired fluorescent substance(10) via an analyzer(8).
