Systems and methods for matching technology buyers with technology sellers enables buyers to search for and/or advertise for sellers of desired technology, and enables sellers to search for and/or advertise for buyers of available technology. If a user finds a buyer or a seller with whom the user wants to do business, the user can send a proposal for a business arrangement to the other party. The party receiving the proposal can accept the proposal, reject the proposal, or make a counter-proposal. The identities of the buyers and sellers remain undisclosed until a fee is paid by the buyer and/or the seller.
