PURPOSE: A method for plating umbrella ribs and coating lacquer by inserting umbrella ribs into a cylinder having a perforated wall and bottom, plating and coating in a state where umbrella ribs are contained in the cylinder without dismantling is provided which improves working efficiency and improves productivity. CONSTITUTION: Umbrella ribs are inserted into a cylinder(1) made of stainless steel having a perforated wall(101) and bottom(102) and a hanger(106). The cylinder containing umbrella ribs is inserted into a dewatering tank. Thereafter, the dewatering tank is inserted into a plating tank without dismantling to plate, dehydrated and then inserted into a coating tank, followed by drying.
