USE OF THERMOPLASTIC MOLDING COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a-polyoxymethylene molding composition which enables production of parts satisfying a higher requirement for resistances against a diesel fuel and a corrosive gasoline. SOLUTION: It was found that a molding composition which contains (A) 80-99.8 wt.% of a polyoxymethylene homopolymer or a polyoxymethylene copolymer, (B) 0.1-10 wt.% of a poly alkylene glycol and (C) 0.1-10 wt.% of zinc oxide (wherein the total of (A)-(C) is 100%) is suitable for production of a molded item which has a direct contact with a diesel fuel or a gasoline. The molded item made from this molding composition satisfies a higher requirement for resistances against an aged fuel, a long-time and high-temperature used diesel fuel and a corrosive gasoline.
