摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decrease in the volume of applied X-rays by placing a filter, through which only wavelength components around a K absorption edge in at least one of the chemical elements contained in a test subject penetrate, between an X-ray output means and the test subject and by placing an X-ray collimating means between the filter and the test subject. SOLUTION: A filter 2 is placed on the X-ray output side of an X-ray tube 1, which is an X-ray output means, and a collimator 3, which collimates X-rays penetrating the filter 2, is collocated. An X-ray TV camera 5 detects the collimated X-rays from the collimator 3 through a test subject 4. The filter 2 is composed of chemical elements that have a little bigger K absorption edge than K absorption edge of test elements. The X-rays that are output from the X-ray tube 1 are absorbed into the filter 2, leaving specific wavelength components, and are turned into false monochromatic X-rays. They are collimated by the collimator 3 and are applied to the test subject 4. A collimator for scattered ray removal 8 removes scattered rays in the penetrated X-rays that have penetrated the rest subject 4, and the X-ray TV camera 5 detects them.
