PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission capable of shortening an input shaft, eliminating an accurate machining, and feeding lubricating oil smoothly to a primary pulley side. SOLUTION: An input shaft 3a and a primary pulley 50 are disposed in the state of being separated from each other, and a lubricating oil guide member 28 mounted on either of the input shaft and primary pulley is installed between an oil passage 3b of the input shaft 3a and an oil passage 52c of the primary pulley 50 so that lubricating oil passes through these oil passage. The lubricating oil guide member 28 eliminates the need that the input shaft 3a must be inserted engagedly into the oil passage 52c of the primary pulley to guide lubricating oil and also eliminates a highly accurate machining, making this transmission economical. Even if a rotating difference occurs between the input shaft and the primary pulley 50 by reverse operation, because the input shaft 3a and the primary pulley 50 are in the state of being separated from each other, the input shaft 3a is prevented from being in contact eccentrically with the primary pulley 50. In addition, a seal ring between both of them can be eliminated.
