PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition is provided which blocks the ultraviolet and which prevents an insect such as a fly and a mosquito from approaching a human or domestic cattle without harmfulness to the human. CONSTITUTION: The cosmetic composition having mothproof and ultraviolet blocking properties is characterized in comprising 0.1-1.0 % by weight of citronella; and 0.01-0.1 % by weight of a mixture mixing octyl methoxycinnamate and butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane in a ratio of 9:1. The cosmetic composition is manufactured in a form of a cream, lotion, spray and the like.
