PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for providing broadcasting services in a CDMA communication system are provided in which a mobile broadcasting station receives broadcasting data from remote hosts, stores, updates and transmits it, a corresponding base station time-divides a forward code channel into multiple broadcasting lower channels and a corresponding mobile station receives the broadcasting data according to a selected broadcasting channel and reception time. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for providing broadcasting services in a CDMA communication system, a mobile broadcasting station(330) receives broadcasting data from remote hosts(338,339), stores, updates and transmits it. A mobile switching center(320) transmits the broadcasting data from the mobile broadcasting station to a corresponding base station. The base station broadcasts the broadcasting data to mobile stations through a forward code channel dedicated to broadcasting. |
