PURPOSE: A secondary cell is provided to improve performance and to secure stability, by mounting expansion suppressing part for suppressing expansion of an electrode assembly. CONSTITUTION: A secondary cell comprises electrode assembly(24) which has an anode(21), a cathode(22) and a separator(23) interposed between the anode and the cathode. An anode tap(25) and a cathode tap(26) are extended from edges of one sides of the anode(21) and the cathode(22), respectively. The electrode assembly(24) is mounted at a case(29), which has a lower case(29a) and an upper case(29b). An expansion suppressing part(200) is installed at an outer surface of the electrode assembly(24).
