PURPOSE: A preparation method of flame retardant polyester polymer is accomplished by using flame-proofing agent according to TPA method to obtain the having improved UV stability and reduced content of diethylene glycol. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing flame retardant polyester polymer is based on the discover that manganese phosphate effects the improvement of UV stability of the flame retardant polyester. For the polyester polymer, a flame-proofing agent is preferably added in an amount of 500-50,000 ppm based on phosphorus atoms. The polyester polymer comprises also any known catalysts for the polymerization of polyester such as antimony trioxide. The flame-proofing agent is introduced into a polycondensation(PC) reactor or after reacting in a direct esterification reactor the obtained pre-polymer is the PC reactor.
