PURPOSE: A noise reduction apparatus is provided to reduce the noise generated from a fan motor assembly. CONSTITUTION: An outer surface(12) of a gas oven range which corresponds to the position of a fan motor assembly(10), is partially cut away so as to form a cutaway portion(16) having a size corresponding to the size of the fan motor assembly. Thus, the portion of the outer surface on which the magnetic field produced from the fan motor assembly exerts influence, is substantially removed. The cutaway portion is covered with a non-magnetic film(20) such as a poly-carbon film. The non-magnetic film covering the cutaway portion prevents the noise generated from the interior of the gas oven range from being transmitted to the outside. In addition, the magnetic field generated from the interior of the fan motor assembly does not exert influence on the outer surface while the cooling air flow is generated along a duct(14) by the operation of the fan motor assembly.
