PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the natural energy power generation excellent in cost performance, by improving the heat utilization efficiency, in a solar thermal electric power generator which converts the heat energy of a sunray into electric energy by means of a thermoelectric element. SOLUTION: A heat collecting plate 3, which is heated, receiving a sunray, is thermally connected to a thermoelectric element 1, and a heat sink 2 is bonded to the opposite side of the thermoelectric element 1. Heat insulating material 4 is provided in the space between the heat sink 2 and the heat collecting plate 3 so that the heat may not be conducted directly from the heat collecting plate 3 to the heat sink 2, and also it retains the heat sink 2 and the heat collecting plate 3. Furthermore, a cover 5 is bonded to the heat insulating plate 4 so as to cover the heat collecting plate 3 apart, and a heat insulating layer 6 by air is provided between the heat collecting plate 3 and the cover 5.
