PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a user from feeling any uncomfortableness by lowering the number of revolutions of a fan only when an exhaust direction of the fan is one where the user feels any uncomfortableness to a sound generated upon exhaustion. SOLUTION: A height installation microwave oven 1 guides air existent below the microwave oven 1 by actuating a hood fan 8. More specifically, the microwave oven 1 is useable as a ventilating fan. The hood fan 8 is capable of changing a direction to which a blow-off outlet 8a opposes. More specifically, the hood fan 8 can not only exhaust air to a front portion of the microwave oven 1 from an exhaust hole 2 but also exhaust to a rear portion of the microwave oven 1. Further, when it is exhausted from the exhaust hole 2, the air is exhausted into a room, and hence the number of revolutions of the hood fan 8 are more reduced than that in the case where the air is exhausted to the outside of the room.
