发明名称 AGING METHOD FOR LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery using a low-cost lithium-nickel composite oxide, capable of increasing the discharge capacity by applying a simple processing. SOLUTION: A positive electrode contains as active material a lithium-nickel composite oxide of stratified rock salt structure expressed by the formula LiNixMlyM2O2, where M1 is at least one of Co and Mn while M2 is at least one of Al, B, Fe, Cr, Mg, and the conditions should be met such that x+y+z=1, 0.5<x<0.95, 0.01<y<0.4, 0.001<z<0.2, and an intended lithium secondary battery is equipped with this type of positive electrode and a negative electrode. The assembled battery undergoes an aging process consisting of repetitive charging and discharging with a current density over 0.5 mA/cm2.
