PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device and the image forming device making irregularities in the image derived from repelling of a sheet trailing end preventable, while restraining the image irregularities and wrinkles due to plunging shock of the sheet. SOLUTION: In this fixing device 118, composed of a heating roller (counter means 1) 21 and the pressure roller (counter means 2) 22, and an inlet guide (guiding means) 40 for guiding the sheet between these heating roller 21 and the pressure roller 22 facing in a press contact state, the device is let smoothly connecting the leading end part 40s and an intermediate section 40m of the inlet guide 40, by arranging the leading end part 40s of the inlet guide 40 in the vicinity of a nip part (n) between the heating roller 21 and the pressure roller 22, arranging the intermediate section 40m of the inlet guide 40 in the position parting from the leading end part 40s, to the heating roller 21 side with regard to a tangent (t) of the nip part (n), and arranging the upstream section parting from the intermediate section 40m of the inlet guide 40, on the pressure roller 22 side with regard to the tangent (t) of the nip part (n).
