PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating member with illumination for a camera capable of illuminating pictographs existing at different positions at plural positions. SOLUTION: A mode dial is equipped with a mode panel 123 where two pictograph groups are formed and a bezel attached to rotate around the mode panel 123 and freely rotate with respect to an upper decorative plate 103. The mode panel 123 is fixed on the surface of an LED panel 135 arranged between the bottom part 126 of the bezel and the mode panel 123 and fixed on the plate 103. On the LED panel 135, an LED 51d illuminating the respective pictographs is arranged at a position opposed to the respective pictographs of either pictograph group, and a click spring housing hole 135j facing to the bottom part 126 of the bezel is formed at a position opposed to the other pictograph group. When a click ball 133 is fit in a click hole 125a, the bezel 125 is stopped.
