The device has a tension piston and a connected oil damper chamber with intake (44) and throttled outlet (38). The damper chamber has at least one additional oil outlet (40), which is closed and regulated by a valve unit. The first outlet also has a similar valve unit. The second and every further oil outlet is formed by a throttle bore, which has a different profile size from the first outlet. The closing and switching characteristics of the valve unit and/or the intake/outlet profiles, are phased to critical vibration conditions of the drive chain, caused by different resonances of the engine.
