摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure the temperature of a surface by using a radiation thermometer for utilizing the relationship between an already set liquid emissivity and film thickness, and by applying liquid so that the emissivity becomes high and at the same time the film thickness becomes uniform. SOLUTION: A radiation thermometer 20 is provided at the upper portion of a steel product between rolling stands 14 and 16, and an oil application device 30 being installed furthermore upstream sets oil to arbitrary thickness, for example, width being two times larger than the visual field of the radiation thermometer 20, by the control of an oil application control device 32 and applies the oil continuously. The radiation thermometer 20 continuously measures the center of the applied oil. For the measurement (luminance) temperature, an amplifier 22 carries out correction by an already set emissivityεfor obtaining the temperature of a steel product. The result is indicated on a display 24 for utilizing for temperature and line control in a computer 26, thus accurately measuring the temperature of the surface of the steel product where fluid such as rolling oil exists on the surface of the steel product during and after rolling, and at the same time the emissivity fluctuates regardless of the existence of the liquid and the fluctuation of the emissivity.
