The device has an ultrasonic catheter and an arrangement for acoustic transmission connection to the bronchial wall. A conventional tube (2) has a circular cuff (8) mounted near the distal end with a channel (5) for accommodating the ultrasonic catheter (12) on its tube wall (4) that is open to the cuff, is filled with an acoustic transmission liquid and is tightly closed at the distal tube end.
