The invention relates to a method for producing an aluminum composite materi al in which a clad sheet is applied to at least one side of an ingot bar, and t he ingot bar provided with the clad sheets undergoes a plurality of roller coatings. The invention also relates to a method for producing clad sheets from a billet. According to the invention, prior art methods are simplified and improved in that the clad sheets are separated from a billet.
