PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a segment gripping device which allows easy segment gripping work and which is structurally simple so that it can promote miniaturization of the entire device. SOLUTION: This segment gripping device 1 includes a key rod 4 moved into and out of a key hole 3 formed in a segment 2, and rotated by a predetermined angle after insertion so as to engage in the key hole 3, an arm 5 mounted approximately perpendicular to the key rod 4, and a pin 7 provided on the arm 5 in such a way as to freely protrude and recede toward the segment 2 so as to engage with a recess 6 in the segment 2 when protruded and to detach the recess 6 when receded. The key rod 4 is rotated by rotating the entire device 1. Thus, rotation of the key rod 4 can be achieved when an operator grips the arm 5 and rotates the entire device 1, leading to greatly enhanced workability. Since the device 1 has few movable parts, it is structurally simple and small.
