PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a water holding ability for a long time and to sustain an aromatic function or deodorant function for a long time with an aromatic to be used at home or in an automobile room, etc., by mixing water, glycol, water absorptive acrylic polymer, porous inorganic matter and perfume and agitating and solidifying the mixture. SOLUTION: At the time of production of the aromatic to be used at home or in the automobile room, etc., the mixture 1 composed of the water and the glycol is first put into a container 2 and the perfume 4 is mixed with the mixture 1, following which the mixture is agitated. The porous inorganic matter 3 is then mixed and included therein and the mixture is agitated. The water absorptive acrylic polymer, such as acrylic ester polymer, is thereafter mixed therewith and the mixture is agitated. If such manipulation is carried out at room temperature, the mixture composed of the water, the glycol, the perfume 4, the water absorptive acrylic polymer 5 and the porous inorganic matter 3 is gradually increased in viscosity and solidified as the agitation progresses, by which the aromatic 10 is completed. Waste antifreezing fluid for automobiles is used for at least part of the water and the glycol. As a result, the saving of resources by recycling of the waste liquid is embodied.
