PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple sheet feeding device for enabling the vertical movement of a bottom plate by the smooth movement by being interlocked with drawing and inserting of a cassette tray and for automatically locking the bottom plate in the lowering position when the cassette tray is drawn out. SOLUTION: A sheet feeding device having a cassette tray 1 for loading sheets P and capable of being mounted on a device main body or a sheet feeding cassette is provided with a bottom plate 2 provided on the cassette tray 1 and for lifting the sheets P loaded on the cassette tray 1, and a latch member 3 provided on the cassette tray 1 and for pushing down the bottom plate 2 by being interlocked with the operation for drawing the cassette tray 1 from the device main body or the paper feeding cassette and pushing down and latching the bottom plate 2 in a state where the cassette tray 1 is drawn out by the specified amount.
