摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismically isolating method for an existing building and a fire resistive covering structure for a vibration isolation apparatus, which can easily provide fire resistive covering around the vibration isolation apparatus having a portion requiring fire resistive covering, in parallel with seismically isolating work, and are excellent in cost efficiency. SOLUTION: An axial force member 1 is enclosed by a tubular member 4 which is axially divided and has an opening into which a vibration isolation apparatus 6 can be inserted. After divided portions of the tubular member 4 are mutually connected, a hardening filler 5 is injected to be hardened in a gap between the axial force member 1 and the tubular member 4 except for a range into which the vibration isolation apparatus 6 is inserted, and then the axial force member 1 in a range in which the vibration isolation apparatus 6 is inserted is cut. Next, the vibration isolation apparatus 6 is inserted into the cut portion of the axial force member 1, and thereafter the tubular member 4 arranged on the outside of the vibration isolation apparatus 6 is cut by such a width dimension that upper and lower portions thereof do not interfere with.each other when an earthquake occurs, to thereby vertically separate the tubular member 4. Further, in any of the above steps, a fire resistive covering material 10 is applied to the rear surface of the tubular member 4, on which the hardening filler 5 is not injected.
