PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exhaust steam from a continuous steaming apparatus, uniformly control the steamed state of grains such as the hardness and water-content and prevent the generation of stain caused by the dewdrop condensation around the apparatus by controlling the exhaustion of steam passed through the grains and retained in a space above a steaming conveyor. SOLUTION: Grains 1 are deposited on an air-permeable steaming conveyor 3 and steam is supplied from plural steam chambers 5a-5f placed below the steaming conveyor 3 to steam the grains 1. The exhaustion of the continuous steaming apparatus is carried out by controlling the exhaustion rate of steam passed through the grains 1 and retained in a space above the steaming conveyor 3. Preferably, the space above the grains 1 deposited on the steaming conveyor 3 is divided into plural exhaustion chambers 7 and the exhaustion rate of each chamber 7 is controlled. Furthermore, the apparatus is provided with a blower 11 to exhaust the steam retained in the exhaustion chamber 7 and a damper 12 to control the exhaustion rate of steam. |
