PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an adhesive which can develop excellent bonding strength for olefin resins within a short time by using a norbornene monomer and an Ru-carbene complex or an Ru-vinylidene complex as the essential components. SOLUTION: The Ru-carbene complex is a compound of formula I, and the Ru-vinylidene complex is a compound of formula II. In formula I, R1 and R2 are each H, a 2-5C alkenyl, a 1-5C alkyl, phenyl, a 1-5C carboxylate, a 1-5C alkoxyl, phenoxy, or the like; X1 and X2 are each an anionic ligand selected from Cl, Br, a 1-5C carboxylate, a 1-5C alkoxyl, phenoxy, and a 1-5C alkylthio; L1 and L2 are each a neutral ligand selected from an aryl and a 1-10C alkylphosphine. In formula II, R1 and R2 are each H, a 2-20C alkenyl, a 1-20C alkyl, an aryl, a 1-20C carboxylate, a 1-20C alkoxyl, a 2-20C alkenyloxy, an aryloxy, a 2-20C alkoxycarbonyl, or the like; and X1 and X2 are each any anionic ligand; and L1 and L2 are each any neutral electron donator.
