PURPOSE: A guide sign device for children protection area is provided to protect pedestrians with enhanced safety. CONSTITUTION: A guide sign device comprises a character display unit(400) constituted by LED element and which repeatedly displays characters or numerals flowing from the left toward right; a vehicle sensor(500) for generating a predetermined electric signal when the vehicle approaches and transmitting the electric signal to an input/output module unit(200); the input/output module unit for receiving the electric signal from the vehicle sensor and a control signal from an external communication equipment, transmitting the received signal to a control module unit(100), and generating a predetermined output signal in accordance with the control signal output from the control module unit; the control module unit for generating a predetermined control signal in accordance with the input signal transmitted from the input/output module unit, and transmitting the generated control signal to the input/output module unit; and a switching control unit(300) for transmitting the output signal from the input/output module unit to a lamp device(410) and the character display unit, and operating a preliminary control module(110) and a preliminary input/output module unit(210) when a trouble has occurred in the control module unit or input/output module unit.
