BROAD BAND MONOPOLE ANTENNA

PURPOSE: A broad band monopole antenna is provided, which has a simple structure to be conveniently manufactured, and in which tuning operation for antenna resonation is easy and a frequency band width can be enlarged. CONSTITUTION: First inner core conductor(3) is installed with one end vertically in a ground plate(2) with a dielectric(4) positioned therebetween. The first inner core conductor(3) is connected at the other end with second inner core conductor(5) which has a diameter larger than that of the first inner core conductor(3). A cylindrical patch(6) surrounds the first and second inner core conductors(3,5) at the same axis. A form(7) is interposed between the lower end of the cylindrical patch(6) and the upper surface of the ground plate(2) to maintain a space therebetween. An outer core conductor(8) is installed at the lower surface of the ground plate(2) to surround the one end of the first inner core conductor(3) and the dielectric(4).
