PURPOSE: A system and method for providing an added information service using a mobile communication network, is provided to store a telephone list of a service provider in a memory to display stored telephone numbers according to a request of the added information service, and to select one of the telephone numbers for auto dialing to request setup of a wireless data network. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication equipment(100) outputs a radio frequency(RF) transmission signal which is a call setup request signal or an information providing request signal, and receives a first response signal for the RF transmission signal for outputting. A mobile switching center(MSC,200) checks the RF transmission signal provided from the mobile communication equipment(100). If the RF transmission signal is the added information providing request signal, the MSC(200) performs routing for the RF transmission signal, and receives a response signal form the routing to output the response signal as the first response signal to the mobile communication equipment(100). A service switching pointer(300) checks the routing-performed RF transmission signal. If the RF transmission signal is the added information providing request signal, the service switching pointer(300) outputs the added information search request signal. A database(DB) storage unit(400) stores every kind of service information including traffic information, weather information, personal information and dictionary information in a database type. A control unit(500) searches every kind of added information service stored in the DB storage unit(400) according to the information search request signal, and outputs corresponding DB information, then receives a third response signal to output the third response signal as a second response signal to the MSC(200). A medium transmitting unit(600) converts the searched DB information provided from the control unit(500) into voice or text information, and outputs the converted information as the third response signal to the control unit(500). |
