PURPOSE: A stable retinol palmitate and cosmetic material composition containing the same is provided to overcome a problem in the prior art that a retinol and a retinol derivative are difficult to make as a cosmetic product because they are likely to oxidize by light, heat, air, moisture, and the like and, consequently, to lose their inherent activity. CONSTITUTION: In a stable retinol palmitate and cosmetic material composition containing the same, the stable retinol palmitate is characterized in that 5 to 10 weight % of retinol palmitate is doubly coated with 18 to 25 weight % of collagen and 60 to 80 weight % of beta-cyclodextrin. The cosmetic material composition is characterized in that 0.1 to 2 weight % of the retinol palmitate is added to the typical cosmetic material containing 0.01 to 1.0 weight % of ultraviolet ray absorbent and 0.005 to 0.05 weight % of ethylene diamin tetraacetic acid. Accordingly, the content of the retinol palmitate doubly coated with the collagen and the beta-cyclodextrin was not changed after ultrasonic treatment and the cosmetic material composition made by adding the retinol palmitate to the typical cosmetic material of pH 4 to 5 containing ultraviolet ray absorbent and ethylene diamin tetraacetic acid had the superior anti-oxidization effect.
