The fuel injection circuit (10) includes, mounted in series from front to back, a fuel tank (12) and a fuel pump (14) feeding fuel to the electromagnetic fuel injector (16), via. a fuel rail (18). The pump has an arrangement for internally pressure lubricating itself, independently of the engine lubrication system. The pump is a double pump with a low oil pressure pump (30) such as a gear pump, and a high pressure pump (32) having pistons, both having a common drive. The low pressure pump aspires oil from the oil casing of the double pump for feeding an oil lubricating circuit (44) for lubricating the bearings of the two pumps (30,32).
