<p>An ultrasound welding component (118) is disclosed. One embodiment of the component includes a weld region about which an ultrasound weldable material (140) may be wrapped into a loop. The weld region has an elliptical cross-section and includes a weld zone consisting of recesses positioned on opposing sides of a weld area. The configuration of the weld region causes the loop of weldable material to develop a more circular shape than the elliptical cross-section of the weld region.</p> |
