The liquid is introduced into the first heater (705) of the plant, and is partially evaporated, producing a mixture of liquid and vapor, which is sent entire, to a pre-separator (713). (Note: the heaters are steam-fed heat exchangers constructed as falling-film evaporators). The pre-separated mixture continues into a post-separator (717), some being recycled (725) back to the first heater. The fluid either continues to an outlet from the plant, or else to a further, similar stage of treatment (706, 707, 708). Preferred Features: The resultant liquid continues to further stages, identical processing being detailed. Additional preferred features include construction of the heaters as falling-film evaporators. The pre-separator comprises a curved tube (appearing as a wide, downward pipe bend) fitted to the lower end of the heater. The separator following it, is a conventional centrifugal separator. Vapors are extracted from the separators. They are sent to a condenser (730) and/or to a further heater.
