PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium which hardly shows decrease in the output even when the medium is repeatedly used. SOLUTION: The aromatic polyamide film consists of at least three layers A, B, C. The average particle size dA, dB, dC of the fine particles in the respective layers are in the relation of dA<dB<dC. The average particle size of fine particles in the layer A and C are 10 to 200 nm and 30 to 1000 nm, respectively. The proportion of the fine particles in the layer A and layer C are 0 to 3 wt.% and 0.05 to 20 wt.%, respectively, and the film has 1 to 7μm thickness.
