PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve its availability by having a medium convertible storage device shared by a data backup system and a normal file system. SOLUTION: This device is an information processor which is equipped with a removable disk drive 10 provided with a changer 12 for replacing plural removable media 20 stored in a cartridge 11, an operating system 30 which includes a device driver 31, a file system driver 32, a backup driver 33 and a changer control driver 35. In this case, a setting utility 60 which sets information of whether or not it is for backup per medium or per drive and an access control driver 34 are provided with an access control registry 70. A removable disk driver 10 and a removable medium 20 are exclusively used in common by a backup application program 40 and a file access application program 50.
