<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of the light receiving surface of the tip of a cone body. SOLUTION: This gas laser beam absorber is equipped with a cone 1, which receives and reflects a CO2 laser beam 11 with a conical face in conditions where the apex is directed in the incident direction of a CO2 laser beam 11 and is positioned on the center axis of the CO2 laser beam 11, an inner cylinder which surrounds the conical face of the cone 1 and also whose diameter becomes larger as from the bottom of the cone 1 toward the apex and which receives and absorbs reflected light of the beam from the cone 1 with an indirect light receiving face 4 and whose outer face serves as a heat-exchanging face 5, and an outer cylinder 6 which forms a refrigerant circulating path 7 between itself and the heat-exchanging face 5 of the inner cylinder 2. Then, the surface roughness of direct light reception of the cone 1 is made smaller than the wavelength of the CO2 laser beam 11, whereby this causes most of the CO2 laser beam 11 to be reflected to the surface 4 of indirect light reception of the inner cylinder 2.</p> |
