PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of facilitating the recognition of a 2D image even when a relative moving velocity is small or static, in a device that displays a 2D image with a 1D pixels display device by use of an afterimage effect. SOLUTION: A luminescent spot, image, or object moving at a set velocity (v) perpendicular to 1D pixels s1, s2,... displayed by a 1D pixels display device 10 is displayed to guide a line of sight of an observer. The luminescent spot, image, or object moving at a set velocity (v) acts as a sight line guide 30 for the observer. The sight line guide 30 may also be as an LED array for a sight line guide. The LED array for a sight line guide may also be as a dot matrix display device. A 2D image can be displayed by the 1D pixels display device 10 even when it is not relatively moving like a moving body display device. By use of the dot matrix display device as the sight line guide 30, the display device with a large display area can be designed and produced at a relatively low cost.
