<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To purify exhaust gas while preventing generation of hazardous gas using a relatively simple facility or an existing incinerator as it is. SOLUTION: Incineration gas generated by incinerating refuse is brought into contact with plasma jet and heated in order to reform the gas components. Since the plasma jet has temperature as high as 4,000-7,000 deg.C, various components of the incineration gas are decomposed into plasma state when the incineration gas is heated in the plasma jet and the incineration gas can be reformed into a totally different gas. In order to prevent the reformed gas from being recombined to generate a hazardous gas, the gas is preferably cooled immediately after being heated with plasma jet or converted into harmless gas or particles through a catalyst and settled.</p> |
