PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase discharging uniformity and ion generating efficiency and to prevent unevenness from being generated in ion generation in an ion generating device applied to an electrifying device, a transferring device and a static eliminating device, etc. SOLUTION: An ion generating device 100 is constituted of an inducing electrode 102 and an ion generating electrode 104 sandwiching a dielectric 103 and creates aerial discharge and generating ions by applying an ac voltage 106 between the inducing electrode 102 and the ion generating electrode 104. The ion generating electrode 104 is a stripe-shaped electrode. By forming the ion generating electrode 104 in the stripe shape, discharge points per unit volume in an ion generating space can be increased, thereby the uniformity of discharge can be raised.
