PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card type passport system which is small and lightweight, and has a high security function. SOLUTION: At the time of an application of a passport registration, the personal information and the finger print information of users are registered in a data base 4 in a foreign affair ministry passport administration system 3 in advance at a passport issuing office 2, and the personal information is stored in the memory of an IC card 24, and an IC card type passport is issued. This passport is collated and attested at entry/departure administration systems 5, 6 which are provided at respective bases in a country, and an oversea passport network system 7, and at this time, by on-line-connecting with the data base 4, the registered finger print information at each base is accessed and read, and is collated with an input finger print information at each base. By this method, an accurate attesting of a passport can be instantly performed. |
