APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING MATAL PROTOTYPE BY USING LASER BEAM AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A producing device for a metal prototype using laser beams and a producing method thereof are provided to reduce a time and a cost for deciding a nozzle angle and wall thickness and to reduce metal power loss by using a metal wire rod instead of metal powder, to produce a conformal cooling channel by combining a layered type laser welding method and a general five-axle processing method and to rapidly repair a die with laser beams. CONSTITUTION: A producing device for a metal prototype consists of a welding module and a metal cutting processor(40). The welding module comprises a laser generator(22); an optical device(26) collecting laser beams(24) to a focus; and a wire rod feeding device(34) feeding a wire rod(32) near the focus of the laser beams. The metal cutting processor cuts metal layers layered on a metal substrate plate(38) by the welding module. The metal prototype producing device additionally contains a distance sensing device(42) for measuring a distance between the optical device and the surface of the metal prototype made of the wire rod near the focus of the laser beams. The power of laser beams and the transferring speed of the wire rod are adjusted according to the distance that is the height of the metal layers.
