PURPOSE: An apparatus for varying a coupling value of a directional coupler is provided for constructing a cylindrical main line coated with a conductive member in a structure having a coaxial cable structure, fabricating a coupling line using an inner conductive pipe and an outer conductive pipe, engaging in a Trombone shape in order for the inner conductive member to be movable in the interior of the outer conductive member and adjusting a distance between the main line and the coupling line when the coupling value is changed based on a request of the system for thereby varying the coupling value. CONSTITUTION: A coupling value varying apparatus of a directional coupler includes a housing(21), a coated conductive main line(26), a coupling line(27) for detecting a signal from the main line, and an adjusting apparatus(28) for varying the coupling value. In the case that the coupling value of the system is changed, it is possible to easily vary the coupling value by finely adjusting the distance of the main line and the coupling line without exchanging the product for thereby implementing an effective monitoring operation of the system by detecting a transmission or receiving signal.
