The rack body (4) consists of a circular disk (8) equipped with rack bars or screens (2) and rotated by a drive. The disk stands at right angles to flow in channel (6) so as to partly dip into the effluent. The disk center area (12) presents a free space (14) for the trash collector container (16). One or more drivers (22) are fitted to the disk side against flow and the disk is doubly sealed relative the channel (6). The free space (14) extends beyond the disk screen level in the flow direction and the container (16) swings into and out of the space (14) and is hung on parallel rods (24) so the container maintains its position relative the horizontal throughout the container swivel movements. The container (16) has perforated sidewalls (28) and/or base (32) and once swung out can move up and down as required, using the hoist (34). The disk has its own subtended cleaning device comprising a set of nozzles facing against the flow on the obverse of the disk.
