摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply high energy even during travel while reducing the facility cost by an arrangement wherein power can be received through a contact or an inductor connected with a power supply unit and can be transmitted among vehicles. SOLUTION: When the inter-vehicle distance is approached to a certain length through automatic operation, a connection rod 4 between the bottoms of vehicles is stretched. When the inter-vehicle distance is further shortened, a decision is made that the connection work has ended and an electric vehicle EV2 is operated automatically to follow up the motion of an EV1. Disconnection is carried out by switch information from automatic traveling to manual operation of any one of the EV1 or EV2. When that information is delivered from the EV1, the following vehicle EV2 is braked to lengthen the inter-vehicle distance and then the rod 4 is contracted thus completing the operation. When that information is delivered from the EV2, it is notified to the EV1 and then uncoupling is carried out similarly. Since the EVs are connected through the connection rod 4, power can be supplied to all EVs through the connection rod 4 even if the length of a contact on the side of a power supply board 1 is short.
