Two spinning rotors (1, 2) are mounted above a spindle rotor. Produced yarns (F1, F2) are conveyed together in an axial channel (100) of the spindle. They pass through the spindle rotor (260) into a thread guide tube (3) rotating together with the spindle rotor and a twisted thread (F3) leaving said guide tube (3) is guided to a centering point (37). Fibrous material is supplied in the spinning rotors (1, 2) through a space being encompassed by a thread balloon. Above each spinning rotor (1, 2) there is mounted a guide pulley (16, 17) for transfer of yarn (F1, F2) drawn off from the spinning rotor. Above each guide pulley (16, 17) there is mounted a magazine element (18, 19) for storing a compensation loop (FS) of the spun yarn. When the spinning rotor (1, 2) starts to run the compensation loop (FS) is drawn from a magazine wheel (18, 19) in the spinning rotor (1, 2) and then it is released. After spinning and reverse of direction the spun end of the yarn is pulled together with already spun lengths of yarns (F1, F2) out of the spinning rotor (1, 2) and is conveyed via the guide pulley (16, 17) in the spindle axial channel (100).
